The United Network

Manchester United Soccer Schools attracts young footballers – and teams – from all over the world to come and Play the United Way. And back in November an Under-12s side from South Korea visited Soccer Schools and enjoyed a week they'll never forget.
FC Network, who play in the MBC youth football foundation soccer league in South Korea, spent 10 days in Manchester during which they played matches, trained at the Reds' training ground and even got to meet their national football hero Ji-sung Park.
The group of 15 budding young footballers undertook training sessions at Carrington and the Cliff training grounds, then played friendly matches against Manchester Maccabi and De la Salle FC (Salford) – they won both exciting games.
While they were in Manchester – staying just a stone's throw from Old Trafford – they also watched Sir Alex's men against Everton (a 3-0 victory) and Besiktas (a disappointing 1-0 defeat). Then the youngsters got even closer to their Red heroes, when they met up with their compatriot Ji-sung Park at the Reds' training ground. Meeting the captain of their national team capped a 'trip of a lifetime'.
Manchester United Soccer Schools' coach Bryn Cooper worked with the youngsters during their stay and was impressed with what he saw.
"We had a fantastic 10 days working with FC Network," he said. "I've been very impressed with the standard of the players and also their attitude to training; it was a pleasure to work with them. This was reflected in their performance in the two friendly matches we played. We look forward to seeing the next group of FC Network players in 2010."
This was the fifth time FC Network have visited Manchester United Soccer Schools. For more information on our team packages click here.
