United's third summer signing moves a step closer to a first team run out this evening, after being named in the Reserves line-up to face Aston Villa.
The Portuguese forward is likely to been named in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to take on Villa in the first Barclays Premier Reserve League fixture of the season – along with the returning Gabriel Obertan, who is back from injury.
The Portugal Under-21 international arrived at Old Trafford in August but his involvement so far has been restricted to the training pitch at Carrington. Tonight, however, he will pull on the red shirt for the first time at Altrincham FC’s Moss Lane stadium.
