The eyes of the football world are focused intently on South Africa and the World Cup, but with each passing day we move ever closer to the start of the new Premier League season.
Fixtures for the 2010/11 will be announced this Thursday at 09:00 BST, and will be available first on ManUtd.com, meaning Sir Alex’s men will know who they face when during the forthcoming campaign.

Chelsea ended the Reds’ run of three consecutive titles, but United are determined to win it back and clinch a record breaking 19th English championship. So as always it’ll be the matches against our fiercest rivals Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and local rivals Manchester City that fans will be most eager to discover the dates of.
Plus, of course, it means that the resumption of domestic action is not too far away.What we already know is that the Reds will visit the United States, Mexico and Ireland in pre season, before facing Chelsea at Wembley in the Community Shield on 8 August.
