FIFA have been looking at goal line technology for football, the ICC are trialling a ‘referrals’ system for Test match cricket, while contentious line call in tennis are decided by TV replays. Make no mistake, technology in sport is here to stay, in fact, it has never been so important.
That’s also the case at Manchester United, with new coaching methods and technology used all the time, and now incorporated into Manchester United Soccer Schools' courses.
Soccer Schools search the globe for the latest coaching equipment each year to ensure our coaching delivery is always cutting edge using the very latest kit.
Technology is playing an increasing role in Manchester United Soccer Schools courses, and during 2009 this is being taken to another level.
Video clips of recent Manchester United footage will be shown on courses, helping to inspire young players as they’re encouraged to emulate their football heroes.
During the summer on our residential facility, at Denstone College, players will also be guided through various elements of match analysis in course workshops. The new technology available will facilitate a more interactive learning environment for the children, who attend courses taking their development – and enjoyment – to the next stage.
That's according to Manchester United Soccer Schools UK and Ireland Programme Manager, Mike Neary.
He says: “The game is always moving on and technology is very much a part of that development. As a club we’re always looking to lead the way and we’re no different at Soccer Schools – it’s really important that we continue to develop our courses. That’s what we’ve done for 2009 and what we’ll continue to do in the future.”
