He might not be part of the United squad tonight - he's actaully out on loan at Preston North End until the end of the season - but striker Danny Welbeck will be desperate to find out the score from Milan later this evening.
The youngster will take on Derby County with his temporary club at Pride Park tonight, but will be checking the score of the Reds' Champions League tie with AC Milan at the first opportunity he gets.
“I won’t see the Milan game,” Danny told ManUtd.com, “but since I've been at Preston I’ve been getting a few texts from my friends and family to update me on how United are doing. So I’ll probably find out the result just after the final whistle at Pride Park.”
Welbeck, who’s scored twice in his first six appearances at Preston under manager Darren Ferguson, is confident United will return to England in a healthy position following tonight’s first leg.
“A lot of the players have hit top form recently and the team are looking really strong. United always come good towards the back end of the season.
“There’s a lot of experience in the United side, even with some of the younger players, so I’m sure they’ll get a good result in Milan.”
