During the summer of 2009 Manchester United Soccer Schools will once again be running a full seven weeks of Residential Courses at Denstone College in Staffordshire. For boys and girls, aged 8-18 years, each course type has been specifically developed to meet the needs of the individual players within their chosen age group.  If you book onto a Residential course before 17th April you will be entered into a prize draw to win 3 hospitality places for the Tottenham game (see competition section for full details).

 

Junior Courses (8-11 years)

 

This focuses on teaching the fundamental techniques of the game and showing players how to master these skills. Tailor-made for junior players with a fun and friendly atmosphere, players live and breathe the game for a week. Players will learn how to practice like their United heroes.

 

Girls Courses (8-18 years)

 

Girls from all over the world can enjoy taking their soccer development to a new level. The courses focus on the technical, tactical, physical, mental and social elements of the game and follow the fundamental elements of Manchester United coaching philosophy. This course will help girls striving to reach their peak performance.

 

Senior Courses (12-16 years)

 

An intensive course designed to take the players to the next level by improving their technique but also developing their understanding of team shape, defensive responsibilities and attacking principles using the Manchester United philosophy.

 

Goalkeepers Courses (8-18 years)

 

The goalkeeper courses develop players as individuals within 1v1 situations, as well as gaining an understanding of working as a team both in defensive and attacking situations. The sessions look at positional sense, communication, handling, footwork, distribution, crosses, organisational skills, kicking, agility and flexibility.

 

Youth Courses (16-18 years)

 

An advanced, intensive course gives older players a valuable insight into the opportunities that arise by staying in the game. As well as experiencing how Manchester United prepare their youth players for that next step, our staff help the players create a vision of how they can progress within the game and the opportunities in football such as coaching, sports science and nutrition.

 

Every six day course will be delivered using the Manchester United Soccer Schools Development Model and includes full board accommodation. Weekend stays and airport transfers can also be arranged. Please indicate your preferences when booking online.
