United's Under-18s clinched the Premier Academy League Group C title with a 2-0 win over Everton this week, securing a place in the play-offs to decide the Academy top-flight's overall winner.
Striker Will Keane and midfielder Ravel Morrison were on target against the Toffees, - United's main title rivals in Group C - completing an outstanding end to the season for Paul McGuinness's young side.
The win means United now face Arsenal in the Premier Academy League play-off semi-finals at Carrington on Friday 7 May.
Nottingham Forest and Leicester City will contest the other semi-final, with the winners meeting in the final at Old Trafford on Wednesday 12 May (although that date could change).
“We beat Everton 2-0 in the decisive game to win the league on Tuesday,” McGuinness says. “It was a good display, with Will Keane and Ravel Morrison getting the goals, and our goalkeeper Conor Devlin making two or three fantastic saves to get us through. But we’ve not celebrated too much just yet because we’ve got a big game against Arsenal.”
