United's U18s enhanced their chances of winning the Premier Academy Premier League Group C with two fantastic - but very different victories in four days.

Striker Joshua King struck four goals in as many days to help defeat Derby County on Saturday and Manchester City on Tuesday as the Reds' title charge continues apace.

King's first double came in the 3-1 win over Derby. Ravel Morrison puts the Reds in front before King struck twice before the break to make it 3-0. County grabbed a consolation goal in the second half before Paul Pogba was sent off late on.

Then came the challenge of City. But whereas as against Derby United had come flying out of the traps, City went 2-0 in front after 27 minutes to leave United staring defeat in the face.

But a dramatic second-half comeback secured a memorable late victory for Paul McGuinness's side.

First Pogba pulled a goal back for the Reds on the hour mark, then King equalised with 15 minutes remaining, rattling his shot in off the crossbar.

That set up a tense finish as United had thrown on a third forward in the push for victory. And the winner arrived in injury time - just as it has done on three occasions for the first-team against our Manchester rivals. With the clock ticking onto 90 minutes, Nicky Ajose sent in a cross from the left and King headed home to seal a memorable win.
