India

As we have recently come to the end of our coaching modules at each of our sites in Mumbai, we need to inform you that these will be the last coaching programs to be delivered in the region for the foreseeable future.

Since launching our MUSS courses in Mumbai in November 2011 we have enjoyed two fantastic years delivering skills development courses to local young players.

The past two years have seen regular programs being delivered at the Cooperage, as well as satellite centres in Andheri and Powai, and also a number of seasonal courses in such places as Pune and Delhi. We have strived to create the best possible environment for players to develop both on and off the field, and have been delighted by the response of all players and families that we have come into contact with.

Throughout this time we have looked to not only offer opportunities for youngsters to play, but have also undertaken initiatives to develop a staff of local coaches, provide coach education sessions and also to provide experiences for local schools and charitable organisations. We have seen visits to the Cooperage by Manchester United personalities such as Gary Neville, Denis Irwin, David Gill and Quinton Fortune, and have always tried to recreate the Club’s Manchester training ground in the heart of India.

We have always been committed to delivering the most authentic coaching programs possible, and as a result have also been able to offer incredible experiences back in the UK for players from India to attend our residential programs and World Skills Final events.

It truly has been a memorable time throughout our stay in India, and our coaches have especially been made to feel welcome through the hospitality and enthusiasm.  Hopefully all of our endeavours around India will have had a positive impact on those we have had the pleasure of working with, and we hope that your passion for football and enjoyment of the game will continue for many years to come.
